After Your Stay
To further ensure patient satisfaction, you may receive a questionnaire relating to your recent hospitalization. This questionnaire is called the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. The HCAHPS survey is a tool to measure and report patient satisfaction. This survey consists of questions on key care topics such as:
- doctor and nurse communication
- medicine and discharge information
- staff responsiveness
- overall quality of the hospital environment
Please know that we take all feedback seriously as we strive to improve our patient and family experience. We greatly appreciate your willingness to share your perspective.
Ethics Committee
If you or a member of your family has a health care issue involving an ethical concern that cannot be resolved by a member of our staff, please contact the nurse manager on your unit and request to speak with a member of the North Shore University Hospital Ethics Committee.
